These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Bollé Communications inc., a company incorporated in Québec with offices in Montréal, Québec, Canada ("Bollé Communications", "we", "us"), governing your access to and use of PPN World (the "Service"), our real-time press-release intelligence platform. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference, together with the Press Wire Content & Fair Use page and the Journalist & Press Contact Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Questions: ppnw@ppnsource.com.
1. Definitions
"Service" means the PPN World platform, including the live feed, globe and map views, entity dossiers, AI features, the press-contact directory, saved searches and digests, team workspaces, and related websites and APIs. "User Content" means content you create or save in the Service (bookmarks, watchlists, saved searches, notes, workspaces, team data, prompts). "Wire Content" means third-party press releases and related metadata the Service aggregates. "Directory" means the journalist and press-contact directory built from Wire Content. "AI Output" means any result produced by the Service's AI features. "Plan" means the subscription tier you purchase.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. If you accept these Terms for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organization. You agree to provide accurate registration information and keep it current, and not to impersonate anyone.
Each seat on a Plan is for one named individual. Credentials must not be shared: one person per seat, no rotating a login among colleagues, no circumventing seat counts. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account, and you must notify us promptly at ppnw@ppnsource.com of any unauthorized use. Authentication is provided through Supabase, by email and password or by Google or GitHub OAuth sign-in.
Teams. On the Team plan, the person who creates the workspace administers it: they invite and remove members, assign roles, and manage shared watchlists and topics. By inviting a member you confirm you are entitled to use their email address for the invitation. Team admins can see the workspace's shared content and member list; they do not gain access to a member's private bookmarks, notes or personal saved searches. The account holder who signs up for the Team plan is responsible for its seats complying with these Terms.
3. The Service
PPN World is a cloud (SaaS) platform that aggregates more than 400 public press-release feeds from over 80 newswires and official sources, and layers monitoring, search, mapping, AI analysis, a press-contact directory, alerts and team collaboration on top. The Service evolves continuously: we may add, change or retire features, and features labelled "coming soon" or "beta" are not commitments. We apply reasonable technical limits — including per-plan archive depth, export ceilings and request rate limits — to keep the Service fast and fair for everyone; current limits are shown on the pricing page or in-product.
Third-party services. Parts of the Service depend on third parties named in the Privacy Policy (hosting, authentication, payments, AI, email, maps, security). Your use of features they power is also subject to their terms where applicable — for example Stripe's when you pay, and the map providers' attribution requirements on map views. Links out of the Service, including to original press-release pages, lead to sites we do not control and are not responsible for.
4. Plans, trial, billing and refunds
Plans and prices. Pro: USD $39 per month or $390 per year, one seat. Team: USD $119 per month or $1,190 per year, with a minimum of 3 seats, for newsrooms and teams. Enterprise: custom, through our sales team. These are limited-time early-access launch prices (regular pricing: USD $99 per month for Pro and USD $299 per month for Team); any return to regular pricing follows the price-change process described below, with notice. Prices exclude applicable taxes (including GST/HST and QST in Canada), which are added where required. Pro includes a 30-day archive and Team a 90-day archive, along with the feature sets shown on the pricing page.
Trial. Paid Plans start with a 72-hour trial that requires a valid payment card, initiated through Stripe Checkout. When the trial ends, the subscription converts automatically to a paid subscription and your card is charged, unless you cancel before the trial ends. We aim to make cancelling as easy as subscribing: the Stripe customer portal is available from your account page at all times.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: you keep access until then, and nothing further is charged. Except where mandatory law provides otherwise (including Québec consumer-protection rules where they apply), payments are non-refundable and unused periods are not prorated. Failed payments may lead to suspension after reasonable notice.
Price changes. We may change prices. For an existing subscription, a price change applies only from the next renewal and only after at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Service; if you do not accept it, cancel before it takes effect. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we never store card numbers.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and within your Plan. You must not, and must not allow anyone else to: - scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract the Service, its database, the feed, or the Directory by any automated means, or circumvent rate limits, access controls or plan restrictions; - resell, redistribute, sublicense or make the Service's data — including Directory contacts and Wire Content beyond permitted quotation — available to third parties, whether free or paid; - extract data beyond the export features the product provides, or use exports to build a competing database or contact list for resale; - use Directory contacts for unlawful or unsolicited communications, including commercial electronic messages that violate Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, the GDPR/ePrivacy rules, or any equivalent law — outreach must be lawful, professional and relevant to the contact's published role; - abuse the AI features, including automated bulk invocation, attempts to bypass safety measures, or submitting unlawful content; - reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Service or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent a mandatory law permits; - probe, disrupt or overload the Service, upload malware, or access accounts, systems or data without authorization; - use the Service to violate anyone's rights, including privacy, publicity and intellectual-property rights.
We may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate measures, from rate limiting to suspension or termination under section 13.
6. Intellectual property and User Content
The Service — software, interface, design, databases, trademarks and content we create — belongs to Bollé Communications inc. or its licensors. Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your internal professional purposes during your subscription. No other rights are granted.
You keep all rights in your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit and process it solely as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service and provide it to you (including through the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy). The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without obligation.
Exports. The product's export features (for example dossier and data exports) exist so you can use your research in your own work — an article, a report, a pitch. Exports are licensed for your internal professional use and lawful quotation, not for republishing the exported dataset, feeding a competing product, or building resale lists (section 5).
7. Third-party feeds and Wire Content
Aggregation of third-party feeds. The Service aggregates publicly available RSS and Atom feeds published by newswires, corporate newsrooms, PR agencies, governments, institutions and other issuers. The names, logos and trademarks of those newswires and issuers belong to their respective owners; they appear in the Service solely to identify the source of each release. Carrying a feed does not imply, and must not be presented as implying, any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement of PPN World by the feed's operator — or the reverse. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, feed operators are not our partners, and inclusion of a feed is not a commercial relationship.
Curation at our discretion. We decide which feeds the Service carries. We may add, decline, throttle, de-prioritize, suspend or remove any feed at any time, at our sole discretion and without notice or liability — for example for reliability, relevance, quality, legal or editorial reasons, or at the operator's request. Submitting a feed through the submission form does not create any obligation to list it; submissions are reviewed by a human against our Press Release Good Practices, and listing or continued listing of commercial feeds may be subject to fees communicated before anything is charged. No feed operator acquires a right to remain in the Service.
Content as published. Wire Content is displayed as published by its issuers. We do not write, verify, endorse or assume responsibility for it: releases are the statements of the organizations that issue them, and they may be inaccurate, incomplete, promotional or out of date. Timestamps, geographic placement, entity extraction, categories and translations are best-effort processing added by the Service and may contain errors; always check the original release at the source link before relying on it.
Rights holders — removal and corrections. If you own rights in content the Service displays, or operate a feed we carry, and you want content corrected, attributed differently, reduced to snippet-only display, or removed — or your feed dropped entirely — write to ppnw@ppnsource.com with the feed or release URL. The takedown procedure and our snippet and attribution posture for non-public-domain sources are described in the Press Wire Content & Fair Use page, which forms part of these Terms. We act on legitimate requests promptly.
Wire Content remains the intellectual property of its issuers and distributors. The Service displays headlines, short excerpts and metadata with systematic attribution and a link to the original page; for license-clean official and public-domain sources it may display fuller text, while major commercial wires are shown in snippet-only form. This posture, its legal grounding in fair dealing (Canada), fair use (US) and the EU quotation exception, and the takedown procedure for issuers, are set out in the Press Wire Content & Fair Use page, which forms part of these Terms. You may quote and link Wire Content in your own work within the limits of the applicable copyright exceptions; you may not use the Service to republish releases wholesale.
8. Press-contact Directory terms
The Directory contains professional contact details extracted from published press releases, as described in the Journalist & Press Contact Privacy Notice. You may use it only for legitimate, professional media and communications outreach. You must: honour unsubscribe and do-not-contact requests you receive; comply with anti-spam and privacy laws applicable to your outreach (CASL, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, ePrivacy and equivalents); and not export, republish or resell Directory data. If a contact asks you where their details came from, refer them to the notice above and to ppnw@ppnsource.com; we honour removal requests and expect our customers to do the same in their own lists.
9. AI Output disclaimer
AI Output — summaries, briefs, translations, entity extractions, classifications, drafts, chat answers — is generated automatically by OpenAI models (with a fallback translation engine) from the text supplied to them. It is an assistive aid, not a source of record: it can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or misleading, and machine translations can distort nuance. You are solely responsible for verifying AI Output against the original release before relying on it, publishing it or distributing it. AI Output is not professional, legal, financial or medical advice, and we accept no liability for decisions made or content published on the basis of unverified AI Output.
10. Financial information disclaimer
Some views display market data (for example, stock-impact panels built on third-party market-data feeds) and AI commentary about companies and securities. This information is provided for news-monitoring context only. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and it is not investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer to buy or sell any security. Do not make investment decisions based on the Service.
11. Availability and support
We operate the Service on a best-effort basis and work to keep it available and fast, but self-serve Plans (Pro and Team) carry no uptime guarantee or service-level agreement; negotiated SLAs are available on Enterprise agreements. We may perform maintenance, and upstream feeds may be delayed or interrupted by their operators. Support is provided by email at ppnw@ppnsource.com.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, nor that Wire Content, Directory entries or AI Output will be accurate, complete or current. Where a law does not permit certain exclusions — including mandatory warranties under Québec consumer-protection law — those exclusions apply only to the extent permitted and your mandatory rights are unaffected.
13. Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: (a) neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill; and (b) our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms and the Service is capped at the fees you actually paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where the law prohibits limiting liability, including for gross or intentional fault, or bodily or moral injury, under Québec law.
You will indemnify and hold harmless Bollé Communications inc. and its officers, directors, employees and agents from third-party claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, your User Content, your outreach using Directory data, or your violation of third-party rights. We may participate in the defence at our own expense, and you will not settle a claim that imposes obligations on us without our prior written consent. This clause applies to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer-protection law.
14. Suspension, termination and your data
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time; subscriptions are cancelled through the Stripe customer portal (section 4). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms (including the acceptable-use rules), if payment fails after notice, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if the law requires it; where reasonably possible we give notice and, for curable breaches, a chance to cure.
Effect on data. When your account closes, you can first export your data using the account-page export. Deletion follows the Privacy Policy: a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion, then permanent erasure of the account and its data. Provisions that by nature survive termination (sections 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16) remain in force.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights letting you sue or be sued where you live, the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, Québec have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service. Before filing anything, write to ppnw@ppnsource.com — most issues are resolved directly. Nothing in this section limits your right to complain to a privacy regulator (section 13 of the Privacy Policy) or any non-waivable consumer right.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the Service before they take effect; the "Last updated" date above identifies the version in force. If you do not accept a change, cancel before it takes effect — continuing to use the Service afterwards constitutes acceptance. For Québec consumers, changes are made in accordance with the notice requirements of the Consumer Protection Act.
17. General
These Terms, with the documents they incorporate, are the entire agreement between you and Bollé Communications inc. about the Service. If a provision is held invalid, the rest stays in force. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in a reorganization, merger or asset sale. Notices to you may be given by email to your account address or in the Service. Contact for these Terms, privacy matters and support: ppnw@ppnsource.com — Bollé Communications inc., Montréal, Québec, Canada.
Language. These Terms are published in English, French and Spanish. The parties confirm they have required these Terms and all related documents to be drawn up in these languages. In case of discrepancy, the English version prevails, except for consumers in Québec, for whom the French version applies.
