"Leisure·Nature·Chill & Fun" Expo showcases diversity of local agriculture, fisheries and natural ecology
The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) is holding the "Leisure·Nature·Chill & Fun" Expo for two consecutive days starting from today (October 10) at East Point City in Tseung Kwan O. Through themed exhibitions, workshops, guided experiential tours, seminars, game booths and Hong Kong Harvest sale booths featuring agricultural and fisheries products, the Expo introduces the public to Hong Kong's unique agriculture and fisheries culture, natural ecological resources, as well as leisure fisheries and farming experiences. Officiating at the opening ceremony, the Secretary for Environment and Ecology, Mr Tse Chin-wan, said that the "Leisure·Nature·Chill & Fun" Expo comprehensively showcases the diversity of local leisure fisheries, leisure farming and eco-tourism. Not only does it enhance public awareness and interest in this area, but it also helps fishermen and farmers broaden their sources of income, thereby promoting the sustainable development of local agriculture and fisheries.
