Ministro Santos destaca aporte de la minería a la economía tras crecer 17.9 % en septiembre victorreyes 26 de Octubre 2026 | 16:17 Santo Domingo.- El ministro de Energía y Minas, Joel Santos , destacó la importancia de la minería para el crecimiento económico de la República Dominicana, tras registrar una expansión interanual de 17.9 % en septiembre de 2026, resultado que la posicionó como la segunda actividad productiva de mayor crecimiento durante ese mes y reafirma su papel en la generación de divisas, ingresos fiscales, inversiones y empleos de calidad. Este dinamismo se produjo en un contexto de crecimiento de la economía dominicana de 5.6 % en septiembre y de 4.6 % en los primeros nueve meses del año. En ese período, la minería acumuló una expansión de 5.2 %, impulsada por el comportamiento de la actividad extractiva.
