Fall Transit schedule coming September 6 with improved service

Winnipeg, MB – Seasonal route changes are just a component of Winnipeg Transit’s fall schedule. This year, the changeover brings with it changes designed to improve reliability, simplify service, and better meet customer needs. The fall schedule launches Sunday, September 6. It includes annual route changes, stop additions, and several schedule improvements that directly respond to ongoing rider feedback. Non-seasonal route changes include: Routes 678: Waverley West-Chancellor and 679: Waverley will have new terminals on University Crescent. They will also travel though Waverley West to help reduce demand on the Blue Line. Route FX4: Gateway-Portage will have a new terminal at the Polo Park Main Terminal for easier transfers. Route 48: Transcona Blvd-McMeans will be extended between Kildonan Place Mall and Walmart, providing improved service in the area. Route 649: Chevrier will be extended to improve service for residents of Whyte Ridge. To simplify service, Route D:18 Notre Dame will operate on Arlington Street in both directions. The southern boundary of On-request Zone 106: North East will be extended from Edison Avenue to Kimberly. This will improve service in the evenings and
