Dunwell served in the Iowa House representing the 38th district covering parts of Jasper County since October 2021. Earlier today, he resigned his seat effectively immediately. Dunwell was not seeking re-election. “I appreciate Jon’s steady leadership style and his ability to foster strong relationships built on trust,” Governor Reynolds said. “Having had the opportunity to work with him, I’ve seen firsthand how he thoughtfully considers all sides of an issue.
