Multi-state RED HORSE units fortify Pacific airfields, advance Agile Combat Employment
Civil engineers from the Virginia Air National Guard’s 203rd RED HORSE completed a historic deployment across Guam, Japan and Tinian, partnering with Florida Air National Guard and active-duty units under the 513th Expeditionary RED HORSE banner. Supported by the 192nd Wing Chaplain Corps, the unified team overcame two Category 5 typhoons and immense logistical challenges to revitalize World War II-era airfields and construct critical infrastructure, setting the Pacific theater for Agile Combat Employment operations before handing the mission off to the incoming 27.1 rotation.
