Staff Sgt. Quor-Darius Davis had already started planning his life after the Air Force. After years working in aircraft armament systems, Davis wanted a change. He pursued retraining into occupational safety, but when the opportunity initially fell through, he decided his next deployment would be his last. He would return home, finish his commitment and separate. Then someone stepped in. Davis, now a 633d Air Base Wing occupational safety technician, credits the people who advocated for him, encouraged him and supported him through difficult moments with changing the trajectory of his career, and ultimately influencing his decision to continue serving.
