La universidad andaluza admite este curso a 286 jóvenes vulnerables por el cupo de exclusión social

Un total de 286 jóvenes vulnerables han podido acceder en este curso 2026-2027 a la universidad pública andaluza a más de un centenar de grados de su preferencia mediante el cupo del 1% adicional de plazas de nuevo ingreso puesto en marcha en el sistema de educación superior. Según se desprende del informe elaborado por la Consejería de Universidad, Industria, Energía e Innovación relativo al inicio de las clases universitarias en septiembre, ese número de alumnos representa un incremento de casi el 44% con respecto a los admitidos por esta vía en el 2025-2026, lo que se traduce en 87 estudiantes más . Esta medida, vigente desde el curso académico 2023-2024, convierte a Andalucía en la primera región española que adopta este tipo de iniciativa . Con ella se pretende favorecer que el alumnado que se encuentra en situación de vulnerabilidad pueda cursar la titulación deseada en condiciones de mayor igualdad, evitando que las circunstancias económicas, familiares o sociales limiten el inicio de estudios universitarios. De acuerdo con este informe y atendiendo al género, las mujeres se acogen mayoritariamente a esa reserva durante este curso, con un total de 163, lo que se corresponde
