Gobiernos, organismos multilaterales y empresas se reúnen para impulsar la integración regional en la XI Semana de la Energía rosahenriquez 7 de Octubre 2026 | 08:51 Santo Domingo.- La XI Semana de la Energía de la Organización Latinoamericana y Caribeña de Energía ( Olacde ) inició en Santo Domingo para abordar cómo garantizar un suministro confiable y asequible , ampliar la infraestructura y financiar la transición energética regional. Organizado por Olacde y el Ministerio de Energía y Minas (MEM), el encuentro se desarrolla hasta el 9 de octubre y convoca a autoridades y representantes de los 27 países miembros , organismos internacionales , empresas , academia y juventudes . Durante la apertura, el ministro de Energía y Minas, Joel Santos , afirmó que los desafíos energéticos requieren una respuesta conjunta que permita convertir los recursos de América Latina y el Caribe en desarrollo y bienestar . “ Necesitamos más integración , más inversión , más innovación y más cooperación energética regional”, expresó Santos, al señalar que , aunque cada país recorrerá su propia transición de acuerdo con sus recursos y circunstancias , la región puede compartir conocimientos , tecnología
