Eritrea: Annual meeting of People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ) organization in Frankfurt

The annual meeting of the PFDJ organization in Germany was held on 19 September in Frankfurt. Mr. Yohannes Mebrahtu, chairman of the organization, said that the objective of the meeting was to review the activities carried out and discuss future programs. Mr. Yohannes Woldu, Chargé d’Affaires at the Eritrean Embassy, called for thorough review of efforts to strengthen the organization, raise members’ awareness, and enhance nationals’ role in building organizational capacity and implementing national development programs. He also called for identifying and addressing the challenges encountered. Commending the participation and contribution of nationals to the successful implementation of the Afambo boarding school project, Mr. Yohannes said that the participation of the German branch of the PFDJ had been phenomenal. The participants held extensive discussions on the reports presented by the organization’s sub-branches and adopted various recommendations.
