Nordic procurement cooperation in command-and-control systems expands – Denmark joins
<p style="margin-bottom:11px">Denmark’s accession strengthens Nordic defence materiel cooperation in the field of command-and-control systems. The cooperation is based on an Implementing Arrangement signed in April 2025, which enables joint development and procurement cooperation in C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence) systems. Norway has also been invited to join the arrangement.</p> <p>Denmark’s accession agreement was signed in Stockholm on 9th of September 2026. At the same time, Denmark joined the framework agreements concluded by Finland and Sweden with Bittium Wireless Ltd and KNL Networks Ltd. On behalf of Finland and with the authorisation of the Minister of Defence, the accession agreements were signed by Major General <strong>Tero Ylitalo</strong>, Chief of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command.</p> <p>The cooperation enables procurement under the framework agreements, with larger procurement volumes supporting cost-effectiveness and strengthening the countries’ joint capabilities.
