Partners for Safety will help keep Calgary’s little ghouls and goblins safe this Halloween
Halloween is all about fun – not frights! For more than 30 years, Partners for Safety has helped Calgary kids trick-or-treat with confidence, and we’re back again this year. On Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m., you’ll see hundreds of vehicles out in the community, making sure families can enjoy a safe and happy Halloween night. The goals of the Partners for Safety program are to provide Halloween safety information to parents and children, and to patrol communities with a visible presence on Halloween night. Co-ordinated by Calgary’s Child Magazine, the Partners for Safety include the Calgary Police Service (CPS), Emergency Health Services Alberta (EHS-Alberta), Calgary Fire Department (CFD), Calgary Transit, Calgary 9-1-1, and Peace Officers from Emergency Management and Community Safety. Any child experiencing a problem on Halloween can go to any one of these partners for help. During regular operations, the CPS and EHS-Alberta will have units patrolling residential neighbourhoods. The CFD will also have vehicles on patrol, and community fire stations will be open in between emergency responses as a safe place for trick-or-treaters to ask for help if they need it. Calgar
