While the IEC has outlined its preparedness for the electoral process, our responsibility, as the Security Cluster, is to provide assurance on the security arrangements and operational measures in place to safeguard the electoral environment. We are gathered here at the NATJOINTS Coordinating Centre, a state of the art operational facility that provides a comprehensive, birds eye view of the security situation across the country. This centre serves as an early warning nerve centre, enabling us to detect, identify, and monitor incidents as they unfold, thereby assisting us to deploy proactive interventions and swift, coordinated responses.
