School of Government on procurement for training Vuyelwa Fri, 10/09/2026 - 13:21 09 Oct 2026 Government departments and state entities can now procure training directly from the National School of Government Government departments and state institutions no longer need to follow a competitive procurement process when sourcing training from the National School of Government, (NSG) under a new policy directive issued by the National Treasury. Departments and institutions had to follow an open competitive three-quotation bidding process when seeking training from the NSG, a government department. The National Treasury Instruction Note 13 of 2026/27, which came into effect on 14 September 2026, allows an organ of state to procure goods or services directly from another organ of state without following the competitive procurement process.
