SACE hosts two-day Northern Cape Teachers’ Practitioner Research Colloquium, 8 to 9 Oct Tsoana Wed, 10/07/2026 - 13:43 06 Oct 2026 The South African Council for Educators (SACE) will host a two-day Teachers’ Practitioner Research Colloquium in Kimberley, Northern Cape, from 08 to 09 October 2026. This teacher appreciation and recognition initiative will be held under the UNESCO internationally declared theme: “Valuing teachers’ voices: towards a new social contract for education.” The colloquium is expected to attract approximately 200 delegates, of whom 80% will comprise teachers, student teachers and Early Childhood Development (ECD) practitioners. The remaining 20% will include officials and stakeholders from provincial education departments, SACE staff and representatives from the Department of Basic Education, particularly those responsible for Teacher Support and Appreciation programmes. The Northern Cape MEC for Education, Mr Abraham Vosloo, is expected to deliver an official address during Day 1 of the colloquium on 08 October 2026.
