Curbside yard waste collection for 2026 ending soon

Winnipeg, MB – Curbside yard waste collection is coming to an end. Yard waste collection in area A ends the week of November 16-20 Yard waste collection in area B ends the week of November 23-27 Residents can find out if their yard waste collection is “area A” or “area B” by: Visiting winnipeg.ca/collectionday Contacting 311 Residents can put yard waste in: Any reusable container without a lid (e.g., plastic tubs, old blue boxes, old metal or plastic garbage containers) Cardboard boxes Paper yard waste bags Containers should not be broken or damaged. We accept Halloween pumpkins through the yard waste collection program and the new food waste drop off stations. Candles and decorations must be removed. Residents should place their yard waste containers next to their recycling and garbage carts. Leave an arm’s length between yard waste containers and recycling and garbage carts.
