Foreign Minister Valtonen to meet Secretary of State Rubio in Washington DC

Foreign Minister Valtonen and her US counterpart Rubio will discuss Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and other topical foreign policy issues. Their talks will also cover bilateral relations between Finland and the United States, including technology and economic cooperation. “The meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio comes at a good time and offers an opportunity for a confidential discussion on efforts to secure peace in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Finland supports Ukraine’s objectives for a just and lasting peace,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen. During her visit to Washington DC, Minister Valtonen will also hold discussions with other representatives of the US administration on current foreign and security policy and international economic and technological issues.
