Tampa Police Host 32nd Annual Tampa Police Memorial Run Eddy D. Mon, 10/05/2026 - 02:15 pm TAMPA, FL. (OCTOBER 5, 2026) - - The Tampa Police Department and the Tampa Police Memorial Committee are pleased to announce that the 32nd Annual Tampa Police Memorial 5K/1-Mile Run-Walk will take place Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 8:00 am . The event will be held rain or shine. Mayor Jane Castor, Acting Chief Brett Owen, and the Tampa Police Department invite the community to gather in Lykes Gaslight Park for this annual event that honors fallen officers and celebrates the spirit of community. Thirty-two Tampa Police Officers will run together in memory of each of the Tampa Police Department’s 32 fallen officers. Each officer will carry an armband with the name of a Tampa Police Officer who made the ultimate sacrifice in their final act of public service. "For 32 years, this run has been about more than just crossing a finish line; it’s about making sure the 32 officers who gave everything for our city are never forgotten," said Acting Chief Owen.
