PRESS RELEASE | OCTOBER 26, 2026 FDIC Announces Six Senior Leadership Appointments WASHINGTON—The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) today announced the appointment of the following personnel to serve in senior leadership positions: Cynthia Sjoberg Radway has been appointed Deputy to the Chairman and Chief Operating Officer to lead the FDIC’s internal operations. Ms. Radway most recently served at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as Chief Financial Officer for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and prior to that as Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Secret Service. She previously held executive positions at the Department of Justice and other DHS Components, and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. Janie Faulkner has been appointed Senior Counsel to the Chairman. Ms. Faulkner most recently served as Staff Director to the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. Prior to her public service, she was a financial services lawyer at Covington & Burling LLP and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.
