Growing up in Lomé, Togo along the coast of Gulf of Guinea, Spc. Koffi Ballogou could not have known that his path would eventually lead him to serve in the U.S. Army. In Lomé, life moves to the tempo of coastal trade and bustling open-air markets, yet one young native traded the Atlantic breeze of West Africa for the uniform of an American Soldier; finding a path where craftsmanship meets service. Today, as an Army dental laboratory specialist assigned to Dental Health Activity Rheinland-Pfalz at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, he combines technical skill and attention to detail to help restore service members’ dental health and confidence.
