Eye on Innovation: Shipyard AI Contest Part of Growing AI Trend on the Waterfront

Norfolk Naval Shipyard's Production Workforce Development (Code 900B) hosted a Production AI Challenge to its team, seeing who could come up with the best use of AI to make their job easier and positively impact the mission. The first-place winner was John Karsten, who used AI to generate contractual Statements of Work. Second-place was Monique Reese, who developed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) agent and reference workbook. Third-place was Stephen Campbell, who employed AI to automate and streamline Team Learning Sessions analysis and its required documentation.
