Inside a Contingency Command Post
Contingency Command Posts are subordinate to a Theater Engineer Command and assigned an area of focus. In the U.S. Army Reserve there are two Theater Engineer Commands, one west of the Mis-sissippi River and one east of the River. Within the TECs, there are two CCPs. They are designed to rapidly deploy to establish command and control capabilities in support of theater-level engineer oper-ations. The CCP provides a unique opportunity for leaders and staff to sharpen their warfighting skills while contributing directly to the mission.
