Forged in the Arctic, Built for the Fight: 11th Airborne Division Trains Across Pacific

The 11th Airborne Division is demonstrating its ability to operate across the Pacific while maintaining its Arctic responsibilities in Alaska. Nearly simultaneous participation in Yama Sakura 91 and Orient Shield 26 in Japan, Yudh Abhyas 2026 in India, and Super Garuda Shield 26 in Indonesia places Arctic Angels alongside key allies and partners in environments ranging from mountains and jungles to complex command and control exercises. The division’s Arctic training prepares Soldiers to operate under extreme conditions, adapt with limited resources and sustain combat power across vast distances. By applying those skills throughout the Pacific, the 11th Airborne Division is proving its ability to deploy, integrate, communicate and fight as part of multinational formations wherever the mission demands.
