GoRaleigh Station Pedestrian Tunnel Closing David.Blount@r… Wed, 08/19/2026 - 14:20 Sub-title Closure will impact tunnel leading to Wilmington Street Primary Image In an effort to improve security and pedestrian safety, the City of Raleigh will close the tunnel leading to Wilmington Street from the GoRaleigh Station. Work will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 25. The change will mean a few extra steps for walkers, but the work is a necessary step to improve conditions in the area. The City of Raleigh will continue to monitor the impact of the change. Parking and transit customers Those parking in the deck or making transit connections can still use the exits to Hargett and Martin streets. You will need to re-enter the garage or GoRaleigh via the same route. Signs will be in place to help navigate you and markings will lead you to an accessible path.
