Temporary road closures and lane restrictions may cause delays. Tuesday, Aug. 25 Person Street: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Person Street will be closed between E. Davie Street and E. Martin Street. A detour route will be in place, with traffic detoured to E. Davie Street. Construction crews will be working in the roadway. Blount Street: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The southbound lane of Blount Street will be closed between E. Davie Street and E. Cabarrus Street. The northbound lane of Fayetteville Street between E. Martin Street and E. Morgan Street will also be closed. The northbound lane on Fayetteville Street will remain active. Drivers should follow posted detours, use alternate routes when possible and slow down when approaching the work zone. Motorists should use extra caution for the safety of construction crews and fellow travelers.
