Weekly Update Oct. 7, 2026 Employee Service Awards Oct. 8 10:30 a.m. In City Hall Council Chambers City staff will gather Thursday, Oct. 8, in City Council Chambers at City Hall to honor those employees with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service through June 2026. Those employees receiving awards may pick them up outside of Council Chambers starting at 10 a.m.; be sure to ask for your free luncheon ticket at the same time. The awards ceremonies begin at 10:30 a.m., to be followed by lunch for the honorees and their supervisors on the Las Vegas Civic Center outdoor plaza. The awards will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person. See the list of award recipients here. For those employees who normally do not park downtown, remember that employee parking is in the City Parkway Garage, not the 500 S. Main St. garage. If you arrive via Main Street, enter the Main Street garage but continue to the third floor and take the bridge over the railroad tracks to the City Parkway garage.
