Traffic Fatality in the 10300 block of Anderson Mill Rd.

Deceased: Isela Moreno, Hispanic female, 8/15/2005 On Sunday, August 23, 2026, at 10:03 p.m., Austin Police (APD) officers responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a motor vehicle in the 10300 block of Anderson Mill Rd. The motorcyclist, later identified as Isela Moreno, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries and was pronounced deceased the next day, Monday, August 24. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 53rd fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 53 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2025, 66 fatal crashes resulted in 70 deaths. These statements are from the initial assessment of the fatal crash, and the investigation is still pending.
