Governor Abbott Announces Latest Slate Of Appointments This week, Governor Greg Abbott selected multiple qualified candidates to serve on behalf of Texans. Texas Medical Board District Three Review Committee – Governor Abbott appointed Rick Siewert, D.O. to the Texas Medical Board (TMB) District Three Review Committee for a term set to expire on January 15, 2030. Texas Municipal Retirement System Board Of Trustees – Governor Abbott appointed Brooks Bennett to the Texas Municipal Retirement System Board of Trustees for a term set to expire on February 1, 2031. The Board oversees the Texas Municipal Retirement System, which is responsible for providing a secure retirement benefit plan for eligible employees of more than 800 cities. Risk Management Board – Governor Abbott named Elizabeth “Lisa” Maciejewski-West as Chair of the Risk Management Board for a term set to expire at the pleasure of the Governor. The State Office of Risk Management administers insurance services obtained by state agencies, including the self-insured government employee’s workers’ compensation insurance program and the state risk management programs.
