Governor Abbott Announces $1.7 Million In Grants To West Texas Veteran Service Organizations Governor Greg Abbott today announced $1,700,000 in Funds for Veterans’ Assistance (FVA) grants have been awarded to six organizations in the West Texas region as part of the Texas Veterans Commission's (TVC) Grants Across Texas Tour. Administered by TVC, the funding will provide services to an estimated 1,800 local veterans. “Texas honors the sacrifices made by veterans who selflessly answered the call to serve,” said Governor Abbott. “These Fund for Veterans' Assistance grants will provide the brave men and women who served in our nation’s military access to crucial services they need to thrive across West Texas.
