Canadian Health Measures Survey: Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry data, 2022 to 2024

This release marks the first time the Canadian Health Measures Survey (CHMS) has reported findings from dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans. These findings provide the first nationally representative data on bone health and bone mineral density (BMD) for Canadians aged 1 to 79 years in the period from 2022 to 2024. As the gold standard method for assessing BMD, DXA offers new information on important aspects of health that contribute to mobility and overall well-being throughout life.
