Haze Situation Update (15 September 2026)
Singapore, 15 September 2026 – Dry conditions were observed over Singapore today. As at 6pm, the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings were 43 – 74 µg/m 3 , in Band 2 (Elevated), and the 24-hr PSI was 92 – 131, in the Moderate to Unhealthy range. Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation 2. Compared to yesterday, there were some improvements in the smoke haze situation today due to overnight showers over some areas in the surrounding region. However, with the prevailing winds blowing from the east-southeast or southeast over Singapore and the surrounding region, some smoke haze was transported from Kalimantan and Sumatra to Singapore. 3. Dry conditions are expected over central and southern Sumatra and southern Kalimantan in the coming days. With the prevailing winds forecast to blow from the southeast to south, there is a risk of smoke haze affecting Singapore. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the High Moderate – Mid Unhealthy range. Activity Guidelines 4.
