Haze Situation Update (05 September 2026)
Singapore, 05 September 2026 – The weather over Singapore today was fair and occasionally windy. As at 6pm, the 1-hr PM 2.5 concentration readings were 33-56 µg/m 3 , in Band I (Normal), and the 24-hr PSI was 78-104, in the Moderate – Unhealthy range. Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation Most parts of the surrounding region remained dry today. Moderate to dense smoke plumes over the southern and central parts of Sumatra and various parts of Kalimantan continued to drift towards Singapore. With dry conditions expected to persist over Singapore and the surrounding region in the coming days, and with prevailing winds blowing from the southeast or south, Singapore may continue to be affected by transboundary haze should the fires remain active. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the higher end of the Moderate to the lower end of the Unhealthy range. Activity Guidelines The health impact of haze is dependent on one’s health status, the PSI level, and the length and intensity of outdoor activity. For immediate outdoor activities, please check the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings and personal guide. Use the 24-hr PSI forecast and corresponding health advisories for planning
