Haze Situation Update (07 September 2026)

Singapore, 07 September 2026 – Conditions over Singapore today were fair. As at 6pm, the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings were 22 – 36 μg/m3, in Band 1 (Normal), and the 24-hr PSI was 63 – 85, in the Moderate ran Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation Moderate to dense smoke plumes from fires in southern and central Sumatra, as well as West Kalimantan, continued to drift toward Singapore. Some showers are expected over parts of Kalimantan in the coming days. However, dry conditions are expected to persist over Singapore and southern and central Sumatra. If the fires continue, there remains a risk of smoke haze affecting Singapore. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the Moderate to Low Unhealthy range.
