Haze Situation Update (04 September 2026)

Singapore, 04 September 2026 – The weather over Singapore today was fair and occasionally windy. As at 7pm, the 1-hr PM 2.5 concentration readings were 41-83 µg/m 3 , in Band I - 2 (Normal - Elevated), and the 24-hr PSI was 83-116, in the Moderate – Unhealthy range. Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation The surrounding region was mostly dry today. Smoke plumes from fires in the southern and central parts of Sumatra and various parts of Kalimantan were observed to drift towards Singapore. As dry conditions are forecast for the coming days, Singapore may continue to be affected by transboundary haze under the prevailing southeasterly or southerly winds if the fires persist. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the higher end of the Moderate to the middle of the Unhealthy range.
