Governor Kehoe Announces Three Gubernatorial Appointments Gabrielle.Picard Mon, 08/24/2026 - 07:59 August 21, 2026 Jefferson City Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced three gubernatorial appointments to various boards and commissions. Michael Gott, of Springfield, was appointed to the Air Conservation Commission. Mr. Gott was previously a plumber by trade before becoming a business manager for Local Union 178. He is currently a member of both the Springfield Building Trades and the Mink Pipe Trades. He holds medical gas, backflow prevention, and LP gas (Liquid Petroleum Gas/Propane) certifications. Gott is a graduate of Hillcrest High School. James Sterling, of Rolla, was appointed to the Missouri Technology Corporation. Mr. Sterling was previously a professor at the Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont, California, before accepting the role of vice provost and founding dean of Kummer College at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is the past president and a fellow of the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening.
