I maggiori scostamenti rispetto alle medie di lungo periodo si riscontrano in Spagna, Francia, Italia, Croazia e Belgio. Analisi degli incendi boschivi in Italia Dal 1° gennaio al 15 settembre 2026, sono stati registrati 2076 grandi incendi boschivi, per una superficie totale bruciata pari a più di 1200 km 2 , poco meno del territorio comunale di Roma Capitale. Il 2026 in Italia si rivela particolarmente critico, con valori di superficie complessiva bruciata tra i più alti degli ultimi anni. Le stime evidenziano che le aree boschive percorse da incendio corrispondono a quasi 200 km 2 (il 16% della superficie totale percorsa da incendi). Sono stati colpiti, in particolare, 78 km 2 di boschi di querce e boschi misti, 65 km 2 di macchia alta, boschi di leccio e sughera, 44 km² di foreste di conifere sempreverdi, 0.26 km² di lariceti e 11 km² di superfici arboree non classificat
