Services and Infrastructure Outlook Survey for Q2:2026-27
Today, the Reserve Bank released the results of 50th round of its quarterly Services and Infrastructure Outlook Survey (SIOS) conducted during Q2:2026-27. This forward-looking survey 1 captures qualitative assessment and expectations of Indian companies engaged in the services and infrastructure sectors on a set of business parameters relating to demand conditions, price situation and other business conditions. In the latest round of the survey 2 , 750 companies provided their assessment for Q2:2026-27 and expectations for Q3:2026-27 as well as outlook on key parameters for the subsequent two quarters. Highlights: A. Services Sector Assessment for Q2:2026-27 Services sector enterprises reported strengthening in the overall business situation, turnover and full-time employment conditions during Q2:2026-27 ( Chart 1 and Table A ). Firms reported increased cost pressures with some increase in selling prices, although profit margin sentiment remained subdued. Expectations for Q3:2026-27 Services firms maintained their positive outlook on demand conditions in Q3:2026-27, though their level of optimism recorded moderation vis-à-vis the previous quarter ( Chart 1 and Table A ).
