Appointments made to Public Services Commission and Public Sector Pensions Authority

The Ard-Shirveishagh (Chief Minister) Hon Chris Thomas MHK has appointed Juan McGuinness MHK as Chair of the Public Services Commission, with Rob Mercer MLC continuing as Vice Chair. Mr McGuinness will also serve as Vice Chair of the Public Sector Pensions Authority by virtue of his position as Chair of the Public Services Commission, and Mr Mercer will continue to serve as the employer representative on the Public Sector Pensions Authority. The Ard-Shirveishagh said: 'I am grateful to both Mr McGuinness and Mr Mercer for their commitment to this important work. The Public Services Commission has wide-ranging responsibilities for the management and development of the public service, and its work is critical in supporting the Office of Human Resources to maintain an effective, well-managed and motivated workforce.'
