Deadline for Wang Fuk Court owners to accept Government's acquisition plan expires tomorrow

The deadline for owners of Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po to accept the Government's acquisition plan will expire tomorrow (August 31). A spokesman for the Housing Bureau today (August 30) urged owners who have yet to respond but wish to sell their titles to the Government not to miss the last opportunity to return the duly signed “Letter of Acceptance" to confirm their intention at or before 5pm tomorrow. As of noon today, 97.7 per cent of owners (a total of 1 939 households) from the eight buildings of Blocks A to H of Wang Fuk Court have returned the duly signed "Letter of Acceptance". The Government has signed the Agreement for Sale and Purchase with a total of 1 541 households (77.7 per cent). With the reply deadline approaching, the Engagement Team co-ordinated by the Housing Bureau is stepping up efforts to contact owners yet to provide their response and offer the assistance required.
