Murder and suicide in Kwai Chung

Police are investigating a murder and suicide case in Kwai Chung last night (August 23) in which a man and a woman died. At 11.32 pm yesterday, Police received a report from a security guard that a man was found lying outside Chun Kwai House, Kwai Chung Estate, who was suspected to have fallen from height. Police officers sped to the scene and located the 80-year-old man sustaining multiple injuries. He was certified dead at scene. Officers later located a 66-year-old woman collapsed inside a unit in Chun Kwai House, Kwai Chung Estate. Sustaining head injuries, the woman was certified dead at scene. Initial investigations revealed that the woman was the man’s wife. The woman was suspected to have been attacked with a hard object inside the unit, and the man was also suspected to have fallen from the unit. The case has been classified as murder and suicide. An approximately sixty centimeters metal support frame, two metal bars and a clothes drying rack suspected to be case related were seized near the scene. No will note was found at scene. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death of the deceased. Active investigation by the District Crime Squ
