HKETO Jakarta showcases Hong Kong cinema at Jakarta Film Week (with photos)

​With the support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta (HKETO Jakarta), the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) and the Film Development Fund, the "Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation - Jakarta" opened today (October 22) at Jakarta Film Week, featuring screenings of five acclaimed Hong Kong films and a thematic film exhibition entitled "A Tale of Two Cities: Hong Kong x Jakarta". Organised by the Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), "Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation - Jakarta" features three films starring legendary martial arts icon Sammo Hung, namely "Eastern Condors”, "Encounter of the Spooky Kind" and "The Bodyguard", alongside two recent Hong Kong productions, "The Dating Menu" and "Dead End". The programme offers Indonesian audiences an opportunity to revisit the timeless appeal of Hong Kong action cinema classics on the silver screen while experiencing fresh perspectives of the new generation of filmmakers.
