Θέλουμε η Ελλάδα να παράγει γνώση, να δημιουργεί νέες τεχνολογίες και να έχει πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο στη νέα εποχή», τόνισε ο Υπουργός Ανάπτυξης Τάκης Θεοδωρικάκος, στον χαιρετισμό του στην επετειακή εκδήλωση για τα 35 χρόνια του Ινστιτούτου Επεξεργασίας του Λόγου (ΙΕΛ) του Ερευνητικού Κέντρου «Αθηνά», στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών. Ο κ. Θεοδωρικάκος στάθηκε ιδιαίτερα στη σημασία της ελληνικής γλώσσας στη νέα εποχή της Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης, αλλά και στη συμβολή του Ινστιτούτου στην ανάπτυξη σύγχρονων γλωσσικών τεχνολογιών. «Η ελληνική γλώσσα, μια γλώσσα με ιστορία αρκετών χιλιάδων ετών, δεν είναι απλώς για εμάς η γλώσσα που κληρονομήσαμε. Είναι η γλώσσα με την οποία σκεφτόμαστε, δημιουργούμε, μεταφέρουμε τις αξίες μας, μεταφέρουμε τον πολιτισμό μας», ανέφερε, σημειώνοντας ότι είναι η γλώσσα που διδάσκουμε στα παιδιά μας, αλλά και σε εκατομμύρια άλλους ανθρώπους στον κόσμο.
