Τη σημασία της σύνδεσης της έρευνας και της καινοτομίας με την παραγωγή, την ενίσχυση των μικρομεσαίων επιχειρήσεων και τη δημιουργία περισσότερων και καλύτερα αμειβόμενων θέσεων εργασίας ανέδειξε ο Υπουργός Ανάπτυξης Τάκης Θεοδωρικάκος, μιλώντας στην εκδήλωση «Γέφυρες Καινοτομίας», στο Ωδείο Αθηνών. Η εκδήλωση αφορούσε την παρουσίαση της κοινής δράσης του Υπουργείου Ανάπτυξης και της Περιφέρειας Αττικής, ύψους 17 εκατ. ευρώ από το Περιφερειακό Πρόγραμμα «Αττική», για τη χρηματοδότηση συμπράξεων επιχειρήσεων και ερευνητικών οργανισμών. Ο κ. Θεοδωρικάκος ευχαρίστησε τον Περιφερειάρχη Νίκο Χαρδαλιά για την εξαιρετική συνεργασία τους, υπογραμμίζοντας ότι «το Υπουργείο Ανάπτυξης και η Περιφέρεια Αττικής ενώνονται από το κοινό μας σχέδιο και το κοινό μας όραμα για μια οικονομία πιο παραγωγική, πιο εξωστρεφής και πιο ανταγωνιστική, με πολύ περισσότερες και καλύτερα αμειβόμενες θέσεις εργασίας». Επισήμανε ότι στόχος της πρωτοβουλίας είναι οι μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις να αξιοποιήσουν την έρευνα και την καινοτομία, να αναπτύξουν νέα προϊόντα και υπηρεσίες, να ενισχύσουν την εξωστρέφειά τους και να εισέλθουν σε νέες αγορές.
