President Meloni’s video message to the ‘Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces’

Dear President Fedriga, dear local administrators, The fifth edition of the Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces is drawing to a close today, and I wanted to send all of you my greetings and contribution to your working sessions. Our Constitution upholds regional autonomy and reminds us that the majority of issues most affecting citizens’ lives require full cooperation between all levels of Government. This is not a matter of formality; it is a concrete need. The results achieved over these last years show that when the State, Regions and Autonomous Provinces work side by side, Italy can achieve ambitious milestones. This has been the case with the revision and implementation of the NRRP [National Recovery and Resilience Plan] – challenges that some considered insurmountable or even impossible to overcome. Yet, over the last years, we have consistently succeeded in establishing Italy as the number one ranked nation in Europe in terms of financial progress and the number of objectives reached. This great team effort is having a tangible impact in many areas, starting with the crucial sector of healthcare. Together, we have provided Italians with around 1,600 new facilities,
