19th National ALS Awareness Day: President Meloni’s message to AISLA

Dear President Massimelli, dear friends at AISLA, I am truly sorry not to have been able to join you this evening, but I nevertheless wanted to send you my warm greetings and my sincere thanks for the incredibly valuable work that you do every day, supporting people with ALS and their families. For more than forty years, AISLA has been a source of absolute certainty. You accompany and support patients in coping with an illness that requires appropriate management, ongoing assistance and integrated health and social care. You carry a great responsibility on your shoulders, and you do so every day with great care, attention and humanity. You are among the finest representatives of this nation and your commitment reminds us of the strategic role that third-sector organisations and social volunteers play in Italy.
