Pohjois-Pohjanmaan maakuntahallitus kokoontui maanantaina 26. lokakuuta Oulussa. Maakuntahallitus merkitsi tiedoksi Pohjois-Pohjanmaan liiton hallitusohjelman vaikuttamistyön valmistelutilanteen. Tavoitteena on, että Pohjois-Pohjanmaan ja pohjoisen näkökulmat välittyvät uuden muodostettavan hallituksen ohjelmaan. Itä- ja Pohjois-Suomen mineraalialan toimintasuunnitelma vahvistaa yhteistyötä Maakuntahallitus hyväksyi Itä- ja Pohjois-Suomen seitsemän maakunnan yhteisen mineraalialan toimintasuunnitelman vuosille 2027–2031. Tavoitteena on vahvistaa maakuntien välistä yhteistyötä sekä Itä- ja Pohjois-Suomen yhteistä vaikuttavuutta mineraalialan kehittämisessä. Toimintasuunnitelma päivittää alueen yhteisen mineraalialan kehittämisen painopisteet vastaamaan muuttunutta toimintaympäristöä, jossa korostuvat kriittisten raaka-aineiden saatavuus, puhdas siirtymä, huoltovarmuus, vastuullisuus, kiertotalous sekä alueellisten arvoketjujen vahvistaminen. Suunnitelman neljä strategista painopistettä ovat osaaminen ja TKI-ekosysteemit, vastuullinen mineraaliala ja kestävä luonnonvarojen käyttö, mineraalien arvoketjut ja aluetalous sekä turvallinen, ennakoitava ja kilpailukykyinen toimintaympäristö
