La Macrorregión Atlántica da un paso decisivo en Europa tras ocho años de impulso de Euskadi

Imanol Pradales: “Llevamos años promoviendo esta iniciativa y debemos seguir participando directamente en la definición de la futura Estrategia y en las decisiones tomadas” La próxima fecha clave en el calendario será junio de 2027, cuando la Comisión Europea deberá presentar la Estrategia Macrorregional de la UE para el Atlántico “Hoy es un día muy importante para Euskadi. Después de ocho años de intenso trabajo, con muchas personas remando a favor para que pueda ir adelante, hoy se aprueba el dictamen favorable a la Macrorregión atlántica que permitirá mejorar las relaciones entre los diferentes territorios atlánticos y cooperar para hacer más fuerte el eje atlántico en Europa y ante el mundo. El liderazgo de Euskadi ha sido ha sido fundamental para ello”. El Lehendakari Imanol Pradales ha puesto de relieve desde Bruselas el importante paso que ha dado esta tarde el Comité Europeo de las Regiones para el impulso decisivo en Europa de la creación de la Macrorregión Atlántica. Ante el pleno del Comité ha reivindicado que las naciones sin Estado como Euskadi “deben tener un papel claro” en la toma de decisiones para el desarrollo de iniciativas como la futura Macrorregión Atlántica.
