Índice del BID sitúa a la República Dominicana por encima del promedio regional en formalización y calidad del empleo victorreyes 8 de Octubre 2026 | 10:34 Panamá.- La República Dominicana se encuentra por encima del promedio de América Latina en los principales indicadores de formalización y calidad del empleo , de acuerdo con estudios realizados por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) . El ministro de Trabajo, Eddy Oivares Ortega, se refirió a los avances alcanzados por la República Dominicana, durante su participación en el Diálogo Regional de Política de Formalización laboral donde expuso sobre cómo tejer estrategias efectivas para América Latina y el Caribe, celebrado en Panamá. De acuerdo con el Índice de Mejores Trabajos 2026 del BID , la República Dominicana alcanzó en 2024 una puntuación de 60,6, superior al promedio regional de 58,0 . En el componente de calidad del empleo , el país obtuvo 45,3 puntos , frente a 40,6 para América Latina. Asimismo, el indicador de formalidad alcanzó 33,5 puntos en la República Dominicana, frente a 30,8 para el promedio regional.
