Tecnificación Nacional de Riego valora compromiso del Gobierno de invertir más de 470 millones de dólares en modernización agrícola victorreyes 14 de Octubre 2026 | 10:04 Santo Domingo.- El director de Tecnificación Nacional de Riego (TNR), Claudio Caamaño Vélez , valoró el compromiso del Gobierno dominicano de invertir USD 476.9 millones hasta el año 2033 en la tecnificación del riego agrícola , una iniciativa orientada a mejorar el aprovechamiento del agua , elevar la productividad y fortalecer la seguridad alimentaria del país. Caamaño Vélez recordó que el compromiso fue anunciado por el ministro de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza , durante su participación en el Foro Mundial de la Alimentación de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) , donde también se reconoció el trabajo que desarrolla la República Dominicana en esta materia. “Esta inversión representa una oportunidad para continuar transformando los sistemas de riego tradicionales y preparar al sector agropecuario frente a los efectos del cambio climático, mediante tecnologías que permitan producir más utilizando eficientemente los recursos disponibles”, manifestó el funcionar
