Edesur recibe seis nuevos transformadores de potencia que mejorarán el servicio eléctrico yamellrossi 19 de Octubre 2026 | 14:16 Santo Domingo.- Edesur Dominicana recibió en el Puerto Multimodal Caucedo seis nuevos transformadores de potencia que serán transportados a distintas subestaciones eléctricas en su zona de concesión, como parte del plan de expansión y modernización de su infraestructura. La inversión en estos equipos fue de RD 531.8 millones y beneficiará a 177,300 clientes que se abastecen de las subestaciones eléctricas Los Prados, en el Distrito Nacional; Ciudad Satélite y Zona Franca Los Alcarrizos, en la provincia Santo Domingo; Cruce de Cabral y Vicente Noble, en Barahona, y San Juan, en esa provincia sureña. Estas adquisiciones se enmarcan en el plan de repotenciación que desarrollará Edesur para lo que resta del año y parte de 2027, en procura de atender la creciente demanda de energía y mejorar la calidad del servicio eléctrico al eliminar las interrupciones por sobrecargas de los transformadores.
